We are happy to announce that April is the Red Oak Recovery® four year anniversary! We are a clinically intensive and gender-separate trauma, substance use, and mental health treatment program for young adults, ages 18-30.
Shortly after the opening of Red Oak Recovery® in April 2014, The Willows at Red Oak Recovery® opened its doors. This lets us create a separate women’s program. Providing true gender separate programming allows young men and women the space to allow for open discussions on sensitive topics, such as trauma and abuse, to be addressed.
About Red Oak Recovery®
With two campus locations just north and south of Asheville, North Carolina, clients are able to participate in numerous treatment approaches. Clients can participate in therapeutic outdoor adventure activities while receiving a minimum of 25 hours of clinical care per week. These clinical care hours are run by our licensed, Masters level clinicians who specialize in mental health and substance use. Clients meet with their primary therapist two to three times per week. There’s also a designated family therapist working with their families throughout their stay. Focusing on the whole person, while including family, allows for a true healing process. Such a focus allows recovery to take in order for young adult men and women to move forward in their lives and achieve sustainable recovery.
“We are grateful to have been of service to so many clients and their families over the past four years. It is extremely gratifying to see so many young adults regain their emotional equilibrium and get on with happy, healthy, and productive lives,” explains our President, and Founder. “We look forward to continuing to being of service to those in need in the future.”
